GE HealthCare Brings AI Innovation to HIMSS 2026
GE HealthCare announced its presence at HIMSS 2026 in Las Vegas with a robust portfolio of artificial intelligence and cloud-based solutions. The company, which leads the FDA’s list of AI-enabled medical device authorizations — with 115 approvals to date — will showcase technologies spanning fleet management, advanced ultrasound, and radiology workflow solutions.

Genesis Radiology Workspace: A New Era for Radiologists
Among the highlights is Genesis Radiology Workspace, a next-generation solution designed to transform radiology workflows. Genesis View, a powerful new zero-footprint diagnostic viewer, promises to streamline exam reading with full remote access. This approach aligns with the ongoing trend of radiology reporting platform modernization gaining momentum across the industry.
Imaging 360, another featured solution, uses AI to deliver a unified view of radiology operations, helping optimize equipment management, connect teams remotely, and standardize care quality. For departments dealing with rising exam volumes and workforce shortages, this integration can be transformative.
Command Center: Real-Time Hospital Management with AI
The Command Center, already used by nearly 500 hospitals worldwide, is AI-enabled software that assists in patient flow management, operations optimization, and real-time data-driven decision-making. The solution covers everything from daily patient care to cross-department coordination and proactive issue resolution.
“The future of healthcare depends on how effectively we remove complexity and empower clinicians,” said Scott Miller, CEO of Solutions for Enterprise Imaging at GE HealthCare. The company believes cloud-first solutions are essential to help teams “work smarter and make faster decisions.”
Digital Ultrasound and Real-Time Collaboration
The Verisound portfolio represents GE HealthCare’s push into digital, collaborative ultrasound. Verisound Collab enables real-time mentoring between peers and experts before, during, and after ultrasound exams — a valuable resource for centers facing operator training challenges.
ViewPoint, an ultrasound workflow solution, integrates advanced automation to create reports with findings, access exam data remotely, and simplify IT administration. Vscan Air Enterprise Solutions extends the capabilities of handheld ultrasound systems with security and fleet management tools.
Interoperability and HL7 FHIR Standards
GE HealthCare also joined the HL7 Caliper FHIR Accelerator as a founding member, a community focused on improving how medical device data is exchanged and integrated across healthcare systems. This initiative will enable consistent integration of high-fidelity device data into electronic health records, analytics, and AI applications, supporting clinical decision-making across different settings and devices.
For the Brazilian diagnostic imaging market, GE HealthCare’s innovations reinforce a global trend: migration to cloud-first platforms with embedded AI is inevitable, and departments that prepare early will gain significant competitive advantages.
